I provide tutoring services for early elementary students in math. Special needs are a joy to me!

Basic Numeracy
I will work with your child on foundational math skills like understanding our base 10 number system, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fact fluency, and word problems. I use curriculum called the Numeracy Framework (K-2nd) and the Multiplicative Thinking Framework (3rd-5th).

How does your tutoring work?
- Semesters are 13 weeks long.
- You can decide how many times per week, depending on availability.
- Sessions are 50 minutes long.
- We can meet either in your home or at the public library. I will provide materials needed for our sessions. All you need to do is show up!
- I am located in Des Moines, Iowa and currently only tutor in person. If you are interested in virtual tutoring, please fill out the interest form and let me know in the notes section.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will my child make progress?
I will do an assessment with your child initially and give you a detailed report of areas where your child can improve. Every few weeks, I’ll give you an update as to how they are moving along according to the areas assessed.
What if we miss a session?
We can reschedule any missed sessions or tack them on to the end of the semester.
What will you work on with my child?
Based on their assessment, I will work with your child on number sense, counting forward and backwards, skip counting, number identification, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, partitioning numbers, manipulating numbers or other skills that are needed.
What payment do you accept?
I accept personal checks, PayPal, Zelle, or Venmo.
What if I feel my child is not making progress?
I am confident in my ability to come alongside your child to help them achieve more, but if you think that they are not progressing the way you would like them to, just give me two weeks notice. After we finish those remaining sessions, I can refund a prorated amount back to you.
